Dosages may require modification to adjust for individual sensitivities and associated medical conditions.

Adults Under 60
You should test spray the aerosol by spraying four times into the air before using for the first time as well as when the inhaler has not been used for more than 4 weeks.

For relief of bronchospasm
Metered dose inhaler (1 puff delivers 100 mcg of albuterol): Shake before use. Inhale 1 puff, wait 1 minute to determine the effect, and if required inhale a second puff. This dose may be repeated in 4-6 hours if required. Do not exceed the dosage prescribed by your physician.
Rinse mouth with water and spit out after inhaling to reduce dry mouth and throat effects.

For prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm
2 puffs of the metered dose inhaler 30 minutes before exercise.

Adults 60 and Over
Follow the adult dosage, unless directed otherwise by your physician.

Infants and Children
For relief of bronchospasm
Metered dose inhaler (for children over 4 years): 2 inhalations every 4-6 hours.

For prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm
(for children over 4 years) 2 puffs of the metered dose inhaler 15 minutes before exercise.

Maximum Dosage Recommendations
Adults and over 60: 12 inhalations per day

Usual Duration of Use
The length of therapy varies depending on patient's response. Prolonged use may be indicated.

This is used as needed for the relief of symptoms.
