Spasmomen 40mg Tablets is used for treatment of irritable bowel syndrome and painful spastic states of distal enteric tract.

Spasmomen has the main active ingredient Otilonium bromide, in addition to excipients such as Lactose, Starch, Sodium starch glycolate, Magnesium stearate, Hypromellose, Titanium dioxide, Macrogol, and Talc.

Otilonium is a synthetic anticholinergic compound, specifically a quaternary ammonium compound. Therefore, Spasmomen is highly effective in relieving smooth muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract

Pharmacodynamic studies have indicated that after oral administration, the absorption of the active substance in Spasmomen is very low. Most of the absorbed Otilonium is metabolized and excreted via bile.

How to use Spasmomen 40mg?
