Protopic 0.1% ointment is a prescription medication used to treat moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults. It contains the active ingredient tacrolimus, which helps to reduce inflammation and itching. Protopic ointment is available as an ointment in 2 strengths and can be applied up to twice daily.

Protopic 0.1% Ointment is designed to bring you relief from the discomfort of eczema and dermatitis. This non-steroidal anti-inflammatory ointment soothes your skin and helps manage symptoms such as itching, redness, and inflammation. Formulated with the active ingredient tacrolimus, it provides targeted action directly to the affected areas of your skin.

How To Use :Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

• Apply Protopic as a thin layer to affected areas of your skin.
• Protopic may be used on most parts of the body, including the face and neck and in the creasesof your elbows and knees.
• Avoid using the ointment inside your nose or mouth or in your eyes. If the ointment gets on any of these areas, it should be thoroughly wiped off and/or rinsed off with water.
• Do not cover the skin being treated with bandages or wraps.
• Wash your hands after applying Protopic unless your hands are also being treated.
• Before applying Protopic after a bath or shower, be sure your skin is completely dry.
