Scopinal is used as antispasmodic for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome, spastic colon, spastic disorders of the biliary tract such as biliary colic, ureteral and renal colic, and to relieve spastic pain in dysmenorrhea It is used in the treatment of peptic ulcer in conjunction with antacids or histamine H2-receptor antagonists to reduce further gastric acid secretion and delay gastric emptying.
