This product is used for the treatment of inflammatory eye problems that are responsive to corticosteroids therapy and that coincide with superficial bacterial eye infections or where the risk of developing superficial bacterial eye infections is high.

Do not use Tobradex Eye Ointment :

• If you are allergic to Tobramycin, Dexamethasone or any of the ingredients in this medicine.
• Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had.
• If you have or think that you have an eye infection that is not responsive to tobramycin (e.g. viral infections caused by varicella, vaccinia or herpes simplex viruses, fungal infections and mycobacterial infections).
• Use of corticosteroids on infected eyes that do not respond to this type of antibiotic may worsen the infection.

How to Use : 

Apply a small amount (1 – 1.5 cm) of the ointment in your conjunctival sac up to three to four times daily.Not more than 8 g should be initially prescribed.
