Overview
Omacor is a highly potent form of Omega-3 fatty acids that lowers cholesterol and plasma triglycerides. In patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia who are refractory to statins, it helps augment triglyceride reduction. Omacor also increases high-density lipoprotein and decreases low-density lipoprotein levels.
